IHHT altitude
training.

Altitude training without leaving Mumbai. You recline, breathe through a mask, and the system alternates low-oxygen and oxygen-rich air in timed cycles, training your cells to use oxygen better. No exercise needed.

Altitude, on
a lounger.

In nature · The mountainsThe thin air of a high climb and the rich air of coming back down, in one session while you lie back.

IHHT stands for intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training. For a few minutes you breathe air with less oxygen, similar to being high in the mountains. Then the system switches to oxygen-rich air so you recover quickly. Repeated over a session, these short, controlled swings give your cells a training signal, much like interval training does for muscles.

The machine reads your blood oxygen and heart rate continuously and adjusts each cycle to your own response, switching back to normal air automatically if your oxygen dips too far. You simply lie back. Our team checks on you through the session, and our doctor sets your starting level.

( 04 ) Safety and suitability

Is IHHT
right for you?

IHHT suits healthy adults who want endurance, better recovery or preparation for altitude, without adding another workout. Because it runs at normal pressure, it is also a strong option for guests who cannot use a hyperbaric chamber.

It is not suitable during pregnancy, with certain heart or lung conditions, acute infections or uncontrolled blood pressure. Our doctor screens every guest before the first session.

( 06 ) Questions

Asked
often.

What is IHHT therapy?
IHHT, intermittent hypoxic-hyperoxic training, alternates short periods of low-oxygen air with oxygen-rich air while you rest on a lounger. The controlled swings act as a training signal for your cells, helping the body use oxygen more efficiently.
Is there altitude training near me in Mumbai?
Yes. Matrix Wellness offers IHHT altitude training on Linking Road, Mumbai, a short drive from Bandra, Khar, Juhu, Vile Parle and Andheri. Open daily, 10am to 8pm, by appointment.
Can IHHT help me prepare for a high-altitude trek?
Many trekkers use IHHT in the weeks before Ladakh, Everest Base Camp or Kilimanjaro to prepare their bodies for thinner air. It supports, and does not replace, proper acclimatisation on the mountain and your trek leader’s advice.
How much does IHHT cost in Mumbai?
Rates depend on single sessions, courses or programmes. WhatsApp +91 90760 85111 for current rates and course options.
How many IHHT sessions do I need?
Results build over a course. Our doctor suggests a frequency based on your goal, often a few sessions a week over several weeks.
What is the difference between IHHT and HBOT?
HBOT increases air pressure so more oxygen dissolves into your blood. IHHT stays at normal pressure and alternates low and high oxygen to train your cells. They work well together on different days.
Is IHHT safe?
For screened, healthy adults, yes. The system tracks your oxygen and heart rate continuously and switches to normal air automatically if needed, and our doctor clears every guest first.
